The acid rains are here

One cannot believe that it is really raining acid when it rains. The fact is that it is actually happening. We do not feel it because the concentration of the acids in the rain is very low. The atmosphere is full of chemical gasses from the chimneys of the thousands of factories all over the world. Thee gasses are in the form of nitrogenous and sulphuric gasses. When these gas particles react with the rain water the result is the formation of mild acids that are washed down along with the rain.
