Knowing about India

Being an Indian should be something that you are proud of, but for some NRI’s they just don’t know what the word Indian is. I am a Sikh and was born and brought up in England and I know about my religion very well and know how to read and write Punjabi. I have also visited India about 14 times in my life I know about my relatives and who they are, as this is all due to my parents teaching me all this and taking me to India so that I know about my family and culture. From the same family I have cousins who only been to India once and they didn’t like it and I doubt it very much that they will ever go back to India, they don’t even know much about their religion or properly know how to speak Punjabi.
It’s not the child’s fault it’s the parents and their responsibility to teach their children.
