Broadband Providers

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

There are many broadband providers in India, which include big company names like Reliance, BSNL, MTNL, Airtel, Sify, Tata and many others. There are many service providers, but only some areas have just one broadband provider, which doesn’t give people the chance to see what the service form other broadband providers is like. It’s high time that broadband providers were available in all areas of India.

Sify broadband is the worst isp

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

I have been using sify broadband for some time now and I can say that sify is the worst isp amongst the ones I have used in the past round the world including some very underdeveloped countries who beat sify hands down any day of the week.

Sify broadband guys dont have a clue on what they are doing.. The connection drops in the middle of the night and there is nothing they do untill the next morning and that too if you are lucky otherwise you may be sitting without a connection for days.

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Some one told me yesterday that reliance broadband guys were laying cables in our locality these days and upon asking th zonal manager he has no knowledge of these cables being laid and today I approached the guys working with these cables near by and they said this was the delhi Haryana backbone which is a fibre optic cable and is a part of the national project being undertaken by reliance and has got nothign to do with the local broadband connectivity so the wait is still on..

Finding a company which provides a good teleconferencing service is a hard task and when it comes to understanding their price plans the task gets even more complicated but there are some companies which do not believe in ripping off their customers and star conferencing is one of them who have their very simple price plans which gives you an accurate idea of how much your bill is going to be if you use x amount of minutes.

Star conferencing also provides recording services and can send you a recorded cd for a small charge which you can keep for records. Star conferencing provides crystal clear voice quality and you can use their toll free numbers as well.Teleconferencing has become a need for every business and one needs a reliable company for their conferencing needs for which star conferencing is a perfect match.

Internet penetration in New Delhi India

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Its been a few years since this internet revolution has been going on and its getting better day by day with youngsters being able to afford an internet connection these days thanks to the lower costs of broadband now.

Not every house in New delhi India has a computer, may be 10-20% of the houses have computers with an India internet connection where I live dont know about the rest of Delhi but by the looks of if this percentage is going to increase over the time as I have lads comming to me every other day asking about technical stuff and about which computer to buy and stuff like that and I see more and more people buying computers these days and actually using it as opposed to 10 years ago when it used to be a status symbol to have an internet connection.

Reliance broadband review

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

I called up Reliance broadband call centre today to enquire if they had broadband internet services available in our area or not and to my surprise they do have internet connections available here where I live and only prepaid options are available for our area due to some reason which is beyond my understanding.

I have opted for thier 300kbps option which is going to cost around Rs 1200 per month which is not too bad in comparision to Sify and Mtnl broadband which are also available here and I am sick and tired of Sify broadband now as I have been using it for a few months now and staying online 24/7 is just not possible with Sify due to thier cable operator problem if not anything from thier end.

Reliance broadband call centre girl said I should have the connection in 7 days from now so I will be posting my complete experience on India broadband forum for every one to see what thier services are like and if reliance broadband can keep the dead lines they have set themselves.

Reliance broadband connection

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

I have been using sify broadband services for the last few months and every thing I have to say about sify is bad till date and by the looks of it things are not going to change given the attitude of the cable operator.

My local cable operator for sify doesnt have proper power back up as when ever there is a power cut the connection goes down the very moment and after repeated calls to sify the only answer I have managed to get so far is that they will do something abotu it soon.

The good news is that I called up Reliance broadband to enquire if thier services were available in my area and they confirmed that yes they do and only prepaid services were available for the time being which isint too bad.Reliance broadband will send thier guy in 72 hours to my place to get all the documents done and as per the girl I spoke to at thier call centre the internet connection should be up within 7 days.

Waiting…..
