Some lost at IPL

Friday, June 27th, 2008

IPL as promised is giving full dose of glamour and excited cricket. And in this glamour one can witness a lot of drama. Shah Rukh  Khan was there to support his team and so was Vijay Mallaya. If Shah Rukh had Shilpa Shetty, Zayed Khan and Arjun Rampal standing by his side to cheer the team then Vijay Mallaya had Katrina Kaif to support him and his team. Some stars proved luck and some didn’t for the team owners. Mallaya made high claims of his team over the Shah Rukh’s but all went down with his team losing to the Knight Riders. Similarly Preity Zinta’s Team captioned by Dhoni could not fare well.

The girls who are pompoming the crickets at the IPL are become a delightful sight for all. These girls are mostly from foreign countries and have become the centre of men’s attraction that comes to the grounds to see the match. They are in eye catching colors and dresses because of which the sales of the tickets at the windows are soaring up. Their dresses are being designed by the designers which are short enough to attract people. These young women also belong to group that cheer groups of famous players in the world. These girls are happy in gaining the publicity and recognition in India. Meanwhile they are also enjoying the money in return.

Cheerleaders new Costumes

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

People are of different opinion when it comes to the cheerleaders of IPL and their clothes. Some feel that by covering them all the glamour from the matches will end. They say that not only IPL matches but every where cheerleaders have been associated with skimpy clothes and if they do not wear them and entertain people then there is no point hiring them. While some fell that it does not make ant difference as people go to the ground not just to see the cheerleaders. These girls are just a part of the event and what is more important is the game. They feel that they have been hired to entertain and for this they need not undress.

Covered up Cheerleaders

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

The owners of the IPL teams did their best to glamorize the cricket match, they even got cheerleaders for the USA to cheer their team, but it got objections by a lot of politicians and people who claim to be moral police. The idea was to entertain but many did not like the girls flaunting their assets on the ground. They felt that they were distracting. Even Shahid Afridi said that they were distracting for the cricketers on the grounds. The problem was their attire. No one could digest the hot pants and bikini tops. And now these cheerleaders are asked to cover it all up. So there are no more hot pants but leggings on the ground.

Glamour and Cricket

Monday, May 12th, 2008

The debate is going on endlessly if cricket should be glamorized or no. Some feel that it will effect in a lot of ways. For example if you pay good money to the cricketer or spend a lot of money on the game then the players will try and play better. And this will improve the performance of the national team. Glamour and money will not only make the players popular but also persuade them to play better. This can act as a bonus to them. Some feel otherwise, they think that this will not help the player or the game as it will only make the existing crickets popular and not encourage opportunities for the fresh lot coming through the Rani trophy and other domestic cricket circles. Cricket is and will remain a passion for Indians.

This victory will also help Indian cricket to come out of the declining financial status. Ms Dhoni has brought new blood in the team. This new blood is full of aggression, power, determination and killer insticting. They are here to prove themselves and they have done it very well. But at the same time we cannot forget the senior players whose contribution to this series is also valuable. Sanchin is back with a bang. The victory has a great contribution by over little master Sachin Tendulkar too.
