Puppets in Movies

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

Puppets have effectively been used in the movies and if animation in movie is typically a medium of technological innovation, then puppet cinema is surely its most regressive form. Puppet movies are at best charming oddities that nostalgically evoke more primitive eras in the evolution of visual media. Puppet movies, when they occur at all, nearly always focus on the technically impressive feats of the great stop-motion puppeteer. There are basically two types of puppet movies: stop-motion puppet films and live action. Setting aside the fact that nearly all stop-motion puppet cinemas incorporates some amount of live-action footage, there is nonetheless a single, fundamental difference between stop-motion puppet movies and live-action ones is Illusion. In a stop-motion puppet movie, the spectator is invited to accept the movie’s world as a complete entity with its own logic, to enter into or be absorbed by it; in the live-action puppet or marionette movie, there is always a fissure in the illusion, a patently unreal thing moving in a world that is temporally and physically too much like our own.

Radio Channels

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Radio channels have become so popular nowadays we have so many channels with different names. But all the channels having almost same songs going on repeatedly. Any channel you switch over to will be having those selective songs going on. At times its so boring that one feels there is no choice one can have, though there is wide range of selection for songs. But those limited songs are always on the channels don’t know why the RJ’s don’t play from the wide range. I love music myself and my radio is on 24×7. Its good to have background music going on while working.

Fm Radio

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

These days the market is flooded with the Fm radios channel. Now fm channels surfing have become habit for the person. The entire radio channels give more advertisements the songs or other useful stuff to listen and all the channels play the same songs every day or night. It’s like hypnotising you with the bad song that u has to listen to it, every day and after every hour that u starts liking it. Gone are the days when radio was for fun, for the information or for requesting the songs of your choice. Now it’s like listening to what they want not us the consumers.
