Laser Treatments For Infectious Super bugs

Experiments by British researchers showed that laser-activated dye, which are used for medical diagnosis produces a number of chemicals which could kill bacteria.  It would replace the traditional method of treating with oral antibiotics.  The skin infections can be treated on the spot.  Studies show that indocyanin-green dye killed variety of bacteria’s, when activated by near-infrared laser.  Most infections cases are associated with hospitals and other health cares where patients with infections of burns and surgical infections suffer much as conventional methods fail to treat and lead them for long hospital stays.  Now this new treatment method of using dye safe for humans could save lives and helps people to get released from hospitals soon.

Government has now decided to put pictures on the cigarette boxes that will give messages of warning to the smokers. This is governments yet another effort to prevent people from smoking. But the debate is how effective would this effort turn out to be. Desibaba sources found out that the fact is that the people who actually smoke do not even bother what is written on the cigarette pack then how much will they bother about the pictures and secondly there are a lot of people who buy only few cigarettes at a time. These people will anyways not be able see what is there ion the pack. It is a known fact that a smoker quits smoking only when he gets a call from within. So no matter what is written or printed on the pack it will hardly have any effect on the smokers. But we also appreciate governments to make smokers cautious. Probably by seeing the pictures they will realize what harm can the cigarettes do to their health or to the health of those who become passive smokers because of them. Passive smokers can be anyone to their friends, family and kids. There are also many hindi films and hindi songs which target to pass the message of not to smoke and to make people aware of the risks of smoking.

City Hospital in Punjab

The scene is a civil hospital in Punjab. A woman with a tumour in her abdomen is admitted for surgery. The surgeon has agreed to perform the operation for RS 5000. The relatives of the woman are sitting outside waiting and praying. Suddenly the door of the operation theatre is flung open and the angry looking surgeon confronts the poor relatives. “Do you take me for a fool”. He thunders “you said it is a tumour, and it is not a ordinary tumour, it has many roots and I have to remove the roots also for five thousand rupees”, the relative cower at the onslaught and shell out another thousand to please the doctor. The doctor who had already cut up the patient half way goes back and completes the operation. The relatives are extremely thankful to the doctor

Going through an article in local newspaper about the make up made me aware about the thoughts of majority of people. They say that some form of make up is somewhat essential for most, if not all. Some is used to ’spice up’ our looks, some for medical purposes and there are a whole bunch of reasons others are worn, which of course depends with the wearer and perhaps the respective occasion. Some people go to bed wearing make up because they want to look beautiful the first thing they wake up in the morning. Of course every one wants to look good when you go out, when you are attending a special occasion but too much of obsession with it is really weird.

When expecting it is important to have a variety of different foods, including plenty of fruit and vegetables. You should aim to have at least five portions of a variety each day.

·  Try to have starchy foods such as bread, pasta, rice and potatoes, if you have a choice try to go for whole grain options.

·  Have foods rice in protein such as lean meat and chicken, and try to have fish at least twice a week. Beans and lentils are also very good too.

·  Fibre intake is important for bother mother and child, it helps to prevent constipation. The foods which contain fibre are wholegrain bread, pasta, rice, pulses and fruit and vegetables.

·  Have lots of dairy products such as milk, yoghurt, cheese, these contain calcium which is good

What not to eat when you are expecting

When expecting there are certain things which should not be eaten, as this can affect the pregnancy, by making you ill or affecting the baby.

·  It is best to avoid certain types of cheese, such as camembert, brie, blue cheese or chevre or any similar ones which have a certain rind

·  All types of pate should be avoided, including vegetable pate, this is because pate contains listeria.

·  Avoid raw or partially cooked eggs, if you do eat eggs make sure they are full boiled when the white and yellow part of the egg are both solid.

·  If you eat meat make sure that it is properly cooked, especially in minced products such as sausages or burgers. Make sure the meat is piping hot and there is no pink meat left.

·  Too much vitamin A is also bad to have as it can harm the unborn baby. Try to avoid the intake by having less liver, vitamin supplements containing vitamin A or fish liver oils.
