If we refer a developer’s adverstiment one major thing that we find missing is one-bed room flats in their layouts. This is basically because builder earns margins by making two or more bedroom flats. GDA and DDA use to make one room flats in large numbers. No one can actually put pressure on these builders who think of only their own profits. Today, a nuclear family’s demand is 1 BR flat of about 650-700 sq.ft, which is not available nowadays and 2 BR’s are out of their budget and need. Government should come up with some financial incentives for builders to develop 1 BR flats which will be instrumental in fulfilling many middle class families dream of owning their own house in and around NCR.

Today women in India in both poor families and in affluent families are facing domestic violence. And every time they go through it they start afresh thinking that everything would become better one day. The uneducated and the ignorant even believe that they deserve this as they are not worth anything better. They are now used to the false promises and apologies of their husbands. And so they scum to domestic violence. The reason for this is the upbringing of the Indian girls. We are made to believe that the men are more powerful and superior to us and we should worship them. Till this notion is changed women in India will keep facing domestic violence.

It has been an age old craze in India, to have a male child. Boy has been always the first preference of the parents and grand parents. This can be seen more in the business class, where people think that the male child will grow up and run the father’s business. Hindu also believes that if their last rites are done by their sons then they will go straight to heaven. But now time is changing and so is the mentality of the people. Today there is hardly and difference between the girl child and the male child. Girls are giving competition to boy in all the fields and making their parents proud of them.

The management institutes have gone ahead and raised their fees but this may have an adverse effect on the people who aspire to be a part of these institutes. The students who want to go in for these institutes will think twice now as getting loans for such amounts will be difficult and also at times not affordable. This will lead to a drop in the number of applicants in these management institutes. Some advice that even if the management institutes are not ready to cut down on their fee they can charge the fee after a student gets placed. This way it will be easier for the student to pay up.

Another debate that is firing up is if Delhi University should have a grading system or no. Some say that it will be good to have a grading system and the pressure on the student will be lesser. The admission process will also become simpler as many students miss out on good colleges because of few percentages. And of course there will be no re-evaluation of papers. While there are few who think otherwise. According to them grading will create confusion as one will not be able to make out who is better than whom. Plus its implementation has to be done carefully as to how the students will be graded.
