The Limit to Greed

Friday, July 4th, 2008

People say that there is no limit to greediness. One can go to any extent to fulfill his greed. Here is a small story to substantiate how people are mad to grab things without knowing the end results. A man was asked to run from one point and he would told that he will get to own the land that he cover from the morning till the sun sets. The excited man started running and covered almost one acre of land till the mid day. He looks a little rest and again stared running ruthlessly and managed to cover another acre of land till the evening. Though he felt happy, he was unable to overpower his greed for more. Thinking that he has some time left for the sun set he started running again. By the time the sun set he collapsed and died. Now a million dollar question is that how much land does a man need and a simple answer to this is that one only needs 6 feet of land to lie down when the end comes.

Bringing up Children Today

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

It is a very difficult task to bring up the child with so many values of honesty, integrity, patience, good manners, and self control. It will become easy if you praise your child in front of their friends and relatives so that it can give them confidence. If they are wrong tell them how to do things right by being clam and not by scolding them. Then only the child will come up with their secrets because they will feel that they are sharing their secrets with their friends. This will help them to build their self confidence and self esteem which they will carry for the whole life. Today the need is to be their friend and not a strict parent to whom the child will never be able to relate to. gently but clearly

Change in Indians

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

No matter what happens we will never change. There are certain traits that we will carry on for ages. We will not only always recycle the gifts but also try and reuse the gift wrappers, gift boxes, stamps and not to forget, the aluminum foil. We will always arrive minimum one to two hours late to a party and behave as if it is normal. We will all name our kids in rhythms for example Dia and Ria, Sita and Geeta, Ram and Sham, Naresh and Suresh. All our children will have pet names like lolo, Bebo, Happy, Lucy, Dodo, Chintu, Chootu, Mini, Nicky and so on. We also have few people who will take care that their child’s pet name comes out straight from their real name like Vikram will always be Vicky, Dimple will always be Dimpy and Sanjay will always be Sanju. We will always talk for an hour standing at the front door after saying Good-Bye to the host or the guest. We load up our family cars with as many people as possible and will always use office car for personal work. We let the plastic covers on the new car’s seat for a long time. We use grocery bags to throw garbage. I thing which will always remain is the love for hindi songs, and this is something which has been a favourite for many indians and always will remain for years to come.

Too much importance to Money

Monday, April 7th, 2008

In India today too much importance is being given to money. Today we associate an individual’s status by the bucks he has in his bank. No matter how intelligent you are, how smart you are, what you experience in life has been, but no money no honey they say. Why have we become so materialistic? A recent study says money can buy all the comforts and luxuries of life which in return gives happiness. But didn’t they say that happiness is a state of mind. So what do we do to attain that state of mind which makes us experience happiness. We need to first understand what makes us happy. A big car, posh flat or bungalow, a world trip, honeymoon in Switzerland, designer, clothes, watches, shoes etc. Well in India today these are the things that get happiness. So money scores higher points that anything. But there are few people who think otherwise. Money can bring you security but where will you get peace and contentment. Can money buy you the love that you need in life. Well the debate will go on but one thing is for sure Apna Sapna Money Money.

Dissolution of Marriage

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Ending the marriage when either of the spouses is still alive is called Divorce. Divorce as a social phenomenon and is found to be increasing in the twentieth century, in developed and developing nations. A divorce must be certified by a court of law, as a legal action is needed to dissolve the prior legal act of marriage. The terms of the divorce are also determined by the court or the court can simply agree the terms that the spouses have agreed on privately. Desibaba news found out that that mostly, the spouses disagree those terms that would lead stressful and expensive litigation. While we are thinking about the divorce terms as to what is good for us and what is bad, do we ever think of the effects it is going to have on our children. Who are actually the ones to face the brunt of this divorce. No doubt that people reach such conclusions only because lives becomes intolerable but I think we need proper guidance for the adults to make their children understand why was it required? There are many films made upon these topics and many film songs, which take you through such procedure in a quick and easy way.
