Chief Minister

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Chief Minister accompanied by his minister for rural development and his secretary has come to our village. He has come in his official ambassador car and there is no fleet of security cars trailing his car. Also there are no suckers and hookers. He has come to address the grievance of the villagers regarding the poor working conditions of the computers installed in the local primary school. The village sarpanch had telephoned him yesterday about it He goes around the school, pulls up the headmaster for not complaining early and orders on the phone to the suppliers of the computers to rush to the site By the time the computer repair team arrives, he visits the next two villages. It is lunchtime. A few chairs and a table are laid under a tree, Chief minister driver brings out his Tiffin and accompanied by the teachers he sits down to a simple lunch. Smell of lunch cooking in the kitchen breaks my reverie

Mayawati government screaming at Orkut

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

I believe in freedom of expression and if someone has got a community in orkut with a header “I hate mayawati” I dont think the government should try ways to bring that community down I f I was mayawati I would rather go into that community and find out what is the root cause of that hatered and sort it out all together. I saw this guy on television the day before saying they will track down the guys who run that community but hey orkut is not run by reliance :)   Go give it a try you poor soul. Getting some retail outlets shut down in Uttarpradesh doesnt mean Mayawati can get anything shut down on this earth. Cry baby.

N-deal

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

I am sure the government of India will do something to get this deal going as soon as possible. I hate to say that the parties which are opposing this deal and threatening to pull their support from the government are a bunch of scum bags and will rot in hell for trying to stop India from progressing. The left parties are just a weight on the face of earth and should retire from politics now as I don’t think they can contribute anything to this nation.

Congress in trouble

Friday, August 17th, 2007

The congress government in centre is in trouble due to the nuclear deal with USA these days due to left parties opposing the deal nd threatening to pull the support they have provided to form the government. I think its really stupid to oppose this deal as it is in the best interest of the entire nation which is strugling due to the shortage of electricity. India needs cheap electricity and nuclear power is the best option due to its cost effectiveness and the short time span it needs to be set up.

Nuclear deal

Friday, August 17th, 2007

India has been deprived of nuclear material for so many years and now that India is on the verge of getting nuclear material from many countries the opposition parties are being an ass in India and trying to reverse the deal with USA which is really a shame as they are trying to mislead the public and trying to make them believe that this deal isint good for the country where as any one literate enough would tell you straight away that it’s a good deal for both India and USA.

Indian politics

Friday, August 17th, 2007

In India its been 60 years of independence but in my opinion democracy has still not evolved enough and politicians still take advantage of non issues like the one going on these days about the nuclear agreement with the United states which in my opinion is a win win deal for India either way. The agreement doesn’t say that India cannot do any more nuclear tests but left parties are trying to make an issue out of it saying it undermines India’s sovereignty which is misleading the public and opposition parties are trying to take advantage.

Congress hits out at BJP

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

The Congress on Wednesday continued its attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party for creating a website on United Progressive Alliance-Left Presidential candidate Pratibha Patil. “We have sympathy for the BJP for finally reaching the lowest level possible in public life. We cannot stoop to these standards like inaugurating a website containing unfounded allegations,” Union Minister Renuka Chowdhary, who is part of the media team for Ms. Patil, said.

The great controversy in Punjab

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

There has been nearly a month of sensitive situation in Punjab due to the controversy raised by allegedly the Sacha Sauda Chief, The Baba Ram Rahim. The problem arose due to his wearing the attire of The Great Guru of Sikhs, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. There is a strict code of conduct in Sikhism of not imitating the great Gurus. That is why no Guru of The Sikhs has ever been portrayed in any role in the cinema and the television. It is also not allowed to portray the Gurus on the stage. Ram Rahim had committed a big mistake by hurting the sentiment of the Sikhs allover the world.

Wanted: Aid to counter LTTE

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

The Sri Lankan government has gone beyond seeking arms assistance in its conflict with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and is asking for more pro-active help from a reluctant India.

Sri Lanka’s defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse who is now in Delhi, wants Indian intelligence inputs and logistics deployment in “sea denial” — or naval blockade — tactics to deter the Sea Tigers, the LTTE’s naval wing, since a May 25 attack on the island of Delft near Jaffna.

“We are not involved in Sri Lanka’s war but we are keeping a close watch and are deploying assets that we think are necessary for our own security,” a high-level defence ministry source said here today after two days of talks that Rajapakse — who is also Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse’s younger brother — had with senior army, navy and air force officials.
