After the accident an infuriated mob torched the bus, gutting it down completely. Police had to resort to mild baton charge to disperse the mob.

“The situation in the area is still tense and we are trying to control the mob. Extra police personnel have also been deployed,” a senior police official told IANS.

According to police, the driver of the bus fled after the accident, but the killer bus was impounded.
